The Office of Student Services provides a full range of services and resources to support students and prospective students from application through graduation. The main objective of our office is to provide quality supportive services to ensure students have a positive academic experience while earning their graduate degree from GSPIA.
Based on a student-focused approach, we provide students with a graduate enrollment counselor who serves as the first point of contact for class registration, financial aid application and preparation for graduation. Additionally, enrollment counselors support students by providing information necessary to navigate the logistical challenges of graduate school and connect students to resources at the University of Pittsburgh and beyond.
Students are also paired with a faculty advisor who provides guidance on academics, course selection and career plans.
For more information, contact the Office of Student Services by e-mail or call 412-648-7640.
The Ombudsperson for the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs assists GSPIA students to resolve conflicts and issues that arise in the course of their graduate education that the student believes have not or cannot be addressed through other channels. The Ombudsperson helps manage conflicts and provides information about institutional policies related to the student's issues, including the university's grievance procedures. The Ombudsperson for GSPIA is Renee Kidney. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Her office is in the GSPIA Office of Student Services, 3601 Posvar Hall.
